I see all my drives perfectly now after setting new volumes up in disk manager after using the new molex style cables. Here's the long link as of, but it's subject to change. The same driver used for Windows 10 dated 12/17/18 works great. UPDATE 2: THEY WORK! I suggest getting the other cables over the ones I have originally purchased. There is a driver for the LSI 9260 on the Broadcom Support Website. If this fixes my issue, I'd recommend purchasing these over the original cables found on amazon. The support tech also suggested it otherwise could be a faulty card. "It is called the Power Disable Pin feature that vendors recently started implementing a couple of years ago.Įssentially, the solution is to use a 4 pin molex to 7 pin sata power cable." They suggested that it may be an issue with getting power to the drives. UPDATE: I've had a chat with Broadcom about my issue. Is there some sort of driver to install or firmware to flash to get something to pop up? What's the process for that? Or do those cables not deliver power to the drives? I'm new to this, so help would be very much appreciated, thanks! My problem is that I see nothing in Windows besides my SSD. I also think I see it in my device manager, but it's not descriptive of the device so I'm not sure. I had access to two 4tb SAS drives for free when I was building my new PC, so I decided with the help of r/homelab to purchase a 9201-8i SAS Controller from eBay, along with cables from Amazon.
